Eksjö Fotboll

Eksjö Fotboll was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Eksjö Fotboll, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Eksjö Fotboll could be found in Group 12 together with MTV Treubund Lüneburg 2, Märsta IK and America Elite. Eksjö Fotboll continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Hörnefors IF with 8-9. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Eksjö comes from Eksjö which lies approximately 180 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Eksjö does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS and Hvetlanda GIF).
