Åhus HBK

Åhus HBK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Åhus HBK, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Åhus HBK could be found in Group 46 together with Ellerau, SC, Euro Diggio Brasil and Lærdal Idrettslag. Åhus HBK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 46. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Antiguoko with 0-2. In the Final, ACBB Paris won over Kampala Junior Team and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 15. Åhus comes from Åhus which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åhus does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Broby IF, Lörby IF, Hjärsås/Värestorp IF, Kristianstad DFF, Asarums IF/FK, Mjällby AIF, Kristianstad BoIS and Sölvesborgs GIF).
