Lærdal Idrettslag

Lærdal Idrettslag was one of 53 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Lærdal Idrettslag, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Lærdal Idrettslag could be found in Group 46 together with Ellerau, SC, Euro Diggio Brasil and Åhus HBK. Lærdal Idrettslag continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 46. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against SC Sternschanze with 0-2. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Lærdal Idrettslag comes from 6887 Lærdal which lies approximately 450 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around 6887 Lærdal does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (IL Jotun and IL BJØRN).
