Mönsterås GoIF

Mönsterås GoIF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Mönsterås GoIF, 204 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Mönsterås GoIF could be found in Group 1 together with Ystads IF FF, Interesporte and Alets Idrottsklubb. Mönsterås GoIF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Kullavägens BK with 0-2. In the Final, IFK Berga won over GAIS and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 14. Mönsterås GoIF comes from Mönsterås which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mönsterås does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Oskarshamns AIK, IFK Berga, Persnäs AIF, Kristinebergs FF and Högsby IK).
