Grupo Sportivo de Loures

Grupo Sportivo de Loures was one of 9 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 11. In addition to Grupo Sportivo de Loures, 111 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 11. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Grupo Sportivo de Loures could be found in Group 12 together with IK Zenith 2, Accademia Gaggiano and Assens FC. Grupo Sportivo de Loures continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Bath with 1-3. In the Final, IF FF Hammarby 1 won over KFV Segeberg 1 and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 11. Grupo Sportivo de Loures comes from 2615 Alverca do Ribatejo Lisboa which lies approximately 2600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
