Accademia Gaggiano

Accademia Gaggiano was one of 9 clubs from Italy that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 11. In addition to Accademia Gaggiano, 111 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 11. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Accademia Gaggiano could be found in Group 12 together with IK Zenith 2, Grupo Sportivo de Loures and Assens FC. Accademia Gaggiano made it to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 12. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against IFK Göteborg with 2-3. Thereby Accademia Gaggiano finished second in B11 Slutspel B during Gothia Cup 2012. Accademia Gaggiano comes from Gaggiano which lies approximately 1400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gaggiano does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (ASD Femminile Inter Milano and FC Spilamberto).
