SV Rugenbergen

SV Rugenbergen was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to SV Rugenbergen, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof SV Rugenbergen could be found in Group 9 together with IFK Mariestad, KL Youth Soccer and U.D. La Mosca. SV Rugenbergen continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Corsa FC 1 with 0-1. In the Final, Corsa FC 1 won over C.B./Oeste Solidaria and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 18. Rugenbergen comes from Bönningstedt which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bönningstedt does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: SC Egenbuettel, SV Rönneburg, SC Vier- und Marschlande Hamburg, SG LTW Leezen, Ellerau, SC, TSC Wellingsbüttel, Halstenbek-Rellingen SV, SC Sternschanze, Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld and SC Sperber).
