Nyborgs SK

Nyborgs SK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Nyborgs SK, 204 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Nyborgs SK could be found in Group 43 together with Älmhults IF, Stjarnan and Oppsal IF 2. Nyborgs SK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 43. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against AD Complutense Alcalá with 1-2. In the Final, Chivas Guadalajara won over Fyllingsdalen FK 1 and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 14. Nyborgs SK comes from Kalix which lies approximately 1100 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Nyborgs SK, the club Gammelgårdens IF does also originate from the area around Kalix.
