Syria/Kamishly

Syria/Kamishly was one of two clubs from Syria that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Syria/Kamishly, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Syria/Kamishly could be found in Group 7 together with SG Borken e.V., Ambjörnarp/Uddebo FF and Zacatecas Independiente. Syria/Kamishly continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SK Sprint-Jeløy with 0-3. In the Final, Corsa FC 1 won over C.B./Oeste Solidaria and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 18. Syria/Kamishly comes from angered which lies approximately 5 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around angered does also provide 66 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Lerums IS, IF Väster, Näsets SK, Finlandia-Pallo IF , Södra Skärgården IK, Landvetter IF, BK Bifrost, Tölö IF, Kungsbacka IF and Fässbergs IF).
