Shiners football club

Shiners football club was one of 31 clubs from England that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Shiners football club, 188 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof Shiners football club could be found in Group 3 together with Djurgården IF, Etne IL and Cruzeiro EC. Shiners football club continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lunds BK with 0-2. In the Final, Paris F.C won over Cruzeiro EC and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 16. Shiners football comes from IG10 1BT which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around IG10 1BT does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Haberdahsers Aske's Knights Academy, Regents Park FC, Harrow School, Airbus Academy and Wilson School).
