Cruzeiro EC

Cruzeiro EC was one of 25 clubs from Brazil that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Cruzeiro EC, 188 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof Cruzeiro EC could be found in Group 3 together with Djurgården IF, Etne IL and Shiners football club. Cruzeiro EC made it to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Paris F.C with 0-1. Thereby Cruzeiro EC finished second in B16 Slutspel A during Gothia Cup 2012. Cruzeiro EC comes from Belo Horizonte which lies approximately 10000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
