They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof IFK Göteborg could be found in Group 18 together with Arsenal Soccer School Kuwait, CEF 18 Tucuman 1 and Ukraine FC Pidshypnyk. IFK Göteborg continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Efthymiades FA with 2-6. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over SC Nienstedten and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. IFK Göteborg also participated in Boys 11 during Gothia Cup 2016.
