Borgeby FK

Borgeby FK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Borgeby FK, 77 other teams from 16 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Borgeby FK could be found in Group 15 together with IFK Norrköping DFK, Løv-Ham/Bønes and CO Cachan. Borgeby FK made it to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 15. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Gasteizko Neskak, which they won with 3-2. Thereby Borgeby FK won the entire Play off A in Girls 16 during Gothia Cup 2017. Borgeby FK comes from Bjärred which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bjärred does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Flagg, Lunds SK, Trollenäs IF, IF Lödde, Furulunds IK, Torna Hällestad IF, Ödåkra IF, IFK Klagshamn and FC Bellevue).
