Vittsjö GIK

Vittsjö GIK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Vittsjö GIK, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Vittsjö GIK could be found in Group 2 together with Älvsjö AIK FF Vit, Holmalunds IF Akademi / Alingsås KIK and Roanoke Star. Vittsjö GIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Våmbs IF with 0-3. In the Final, TGK Worcestershire won over Gideonsbergs IF Vit and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Vittsjö GIK comes from Vittsjö which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vittsjö does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (IFK Osby, Wisseltofta IF, Markaryds IF, IFK Hässleholm, Råstorp/Timsfors IF, Älmhults IF, IFK Knislinge, FC Hessleholm, Vinslövs IF and Hässleholms IF).
