Eksjö Fotboll

Eksjö Fotboll was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Eksjö Fotboll, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof Eksjö Fotboll could be found in Group 30 together with VfL Westercelle, St. Paul Blackhawks 2 and Partille IF. Eksjö Fotboll continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 30. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Walddörfer SV 2 with 0-1. In the Final, Gerdskens BK won over Eskilstuna City FK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Eksjö comes from Eksjö which lies approximately 180 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Eksjö does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Hvetlanda GIF, Aneby/Bälaryd SK and Nässjö FF).
