IFK Solna

IFK Solna was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to IFK Solna, 98 other teams from 6 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof IFK Solna could be found in Group 18 together with BK Häcken, Oulu Nice Soccer, Asker SKK 2 and Tingsryd United FC. IFK Solna continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Skogås/Trångsunds FF with 0-2. In the Final, Austin Lonestars won over Skogås/Trångsunds FF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. IFK Solna comes from SOLNA which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around SOLNA does also provide 59 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Hanvikens SK, Enskede IK, Hammarby IF FF, Bollstanäs SK, Danderyds SK, Älta IF, Enebybergs IF, Ekerö IK, Huddinge IF and Ingarö IF).
