Mönsterås GoIF

Mönsterås GoIF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Mönsterås GoIF, 98 other teams from 6 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Mönsterås GoIF could be found in Group 14 together with IK Zenith, Täby FK and Marin FC 2. Mönsterås GoIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Örby with 1-3. In the Final, Austin Lonestars won over Skogås/Trångsunds FF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Mönsterås GoIF comes from Mönsterås which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mönsterås does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Högsby IK, Rödsle BK and Lindsdals IF).
