Sandarna BK

Sandarna BK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Sandarna BK, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Sandarna BK could be found in Group 22 together with FK Lillehammer 2, ED Moratalaz and Route10 Futbol. Sandarna BK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Vänersborgs FK with 1-3. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Sandarna BK also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the final in Play off B, but lost it against Stångebro United with 0-3 and ended up in second place. Sandarna originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Lunden ÖBK, Särö IK and Sävedalens IF).
