Högbo AIK

Högbo AIK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Högbo AIK, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof Högbo AIK could be found in Group 43 together with SG Borken e.V., Eskilstuna City FK and Nest-Sotra 2. Högbo AIK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 43. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Florø SK with 0-1. In the Final, AC Ajaccio won over CO Vincennes and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Högbo AIK comes from Sandviken which lies approximately 420 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandviken does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (IK Huge, Torsåkers IF, Hagaströms SK, Gefle IF, Sandvikens IF, Brynäs IF/FK, Valbo FF and Årsunda IF).
