Kareby IS

Kareby IS was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Kareby IS, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Kareby IS could be found in Group 34 together with Breidablik 1, Go-Pro Sports and Stuvsta IF. Kareby IS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Bollstanäs SK 2 with 0-3. In the Final, Match Fit Academy won over Footgeneration FA Algarve and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Kareby IS comes from Kareby which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kareby does also provide 62 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Alingsås KIK, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Orust Fotboll and Lunden ÖBK).
