Sjömarken/Sandareds IF

Sjömarken/Sandareds IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Sjömarken/Sandareds IF, 137 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof Sjömarken/Sandareds IF could be found in Group 24 together with Utpal Shanghvi Global School, North American All stars and Östersunds FK. Sjömarken/Sandareds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 24. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Oppsal IF 1 with 1-2. In the Final, CA Intercups Mexico won over Topskor Indonesia and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. Sjömarken/Sandareds comes from Borås which lies approximately 53 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borås does also provide 14 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Holmalunds IF, Lerums IS, Gerdskens BK, Vårgårda IK, Lekstorps IF, IFK Örby, Stenkullen GoIK, Floda BoIF, Sparsörs AIK and Ulricehamns IFK).
