Sparta Rotterdam FC

Sparta Rotterdam FC was one of two clubs from Hong Kong, China that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Sparta Rotterdam FC, 194 other teams from 41 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Sparta Rotterdam FC could be found in Group 10 together with SSV Buchholz 1922 e.V. 1, Norrtulls SK and Lunds BK Svart. Sparta Rotterdam FC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Lilla Torg FF Svart with 1-5. In the Final, JSSL Arsenal Singapore won over Barkarö SK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Sparta Rotterdam FC comes from Hong Kong which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Sparta Rotterdam FC, the club Hong Kong FC does also originate from the area around Hong Kong.
