Escuela Nederland was one of three clubs from Peru that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Escuela Nederland, 194 other teams from 41 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Escuela Nederland could be found in Group 3 together with Stenungsunds IF 1, Eimsbütteler TV 1 and Upsala IF 2. Escuela Nederland continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Vasastan BK 1 with 1-6. In the Final, Pumas Oro, Monterrey won over Azzurri and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. Escuela Nederland comes from Lima which lies approximately 11000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lima does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Markham School and Cantolao, AD).
