FK Spyris

FK Spyris was one of three clubs from Lithuania that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to FK Spyris, 231 other teams from 31 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof FK Spyris could be found in Group 34 together with FC Connecticut, Eskilsminne IF 1, Mjölby Södra IF and IFK Göteborg. FK Spyris continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against GAIS with 7-8. In the Final, Walddörfer SV 1 won over Lerums IS 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. FK Spyris comes from Vilnius which lies approximately 890 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than FK Spyris, the club SFK Rotalis does also originate from the area around Vilnius.
