Match Sport

Match Sport was one of 10 clubs from United Arab Emirates that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 11. In addition to Match Sport, 114 other teams from 36 different countries played in Boys 11. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Match Sport could be found in Group 25 together with KFV Segeberg 2, Lindome GIF 2 and Performance Football Academy. Match Sport continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Tekkers Academy Bahrain with 2-3. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over KFV Segeberg 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 11. Match Sport comes from Dubai which lies approximately 5000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Dubai does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (It's Just Football, Alliance FC, Sport 4 All, The Football Academy Dubai, Precor and Go-Pro Sports).
