Austin Lonestars

Austin Lonestars was one of 43 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Austin Lonestars, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Austin Lonestars could be found in Group 21 together with Kristianopel/Ramdala, QBIK and Kristianstad DFF. Austin Lonestars continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Alnö IF with 0-3. In the Final, Santa Monica United won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Austin Lonestars comes from Tingvej 151 which lies approximately 8000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tingvej 151 does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Roanoke Star, FC Beyond, SA United SC, St. Paul Blackhawks and CCL Soccer Club).
