Hwarang

Hwarang was one of three clubs from South Korea that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Hwarang, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Hwarang could be found in Group 19 together with Irsta IF Svart, Älvsborg FF Hawks and AP Top 54 1. Hwarang continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Lidingö FK Vit with 5-6. In the Final, Pumas Oro, Monterrey won over Azzurri and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. Hwarang also participated in Boys 11 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the Semi final in B11 Play off B, but lost it against Hovås-Billdal IF 2 with 6-7. Hwarang comes from Seoul which lies approximately 7800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Hwarang, the club Chungmu does also originate from the area around Seoul.
