SPF Sabio was one of four clubs from Poland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to SPF Sabio, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof SPF Sabio could be found in Group 21 together with MAS Mostar, IFK Lidingö FK Blå and Lekstorps IF 1. SPF Sabio continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Prep School Pumas 1 with 2-6. In the Final, Pumas Oro, Monterrey won over Azzurri and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. SPF Sabio comes from WILGA which lies approximately 890 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
