Furulunds IK

Furulunds IK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Furulunds IK, 231 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Furulunds IK could be found in Group 52 together with Ulricehamns IFK 1, Huskies Soccer Academy and Mölndal Fotboll. Furulunds IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 52. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 with 6-7. In the Final, Walddörfer SV 1 won over Lerums IS 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Furulunds comes from Furulund which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Furulund does also provide 32 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, Staffanstorps GIF, LB07, Hörby FF, Hyllie IK, Råå IF, FC Staffanstorp, Lilla Torg FF, Lunds BK and Fortuna FF).
