Bordeaux Elite FC

Bordeaux Elite FC was one of 21 clubs from France that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Bordeaux Elite FC, 224 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof Bordeaux Elite FC could be found in Group 1 together with CEF 18 Tucuman 1, Boo FF and Alviks IK. Bordeaux Elite FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Eimsbütteler TV with 3-4. In the Final, ASIOP Apacinti won over IF Elfsborg and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Bordeaux Elite FC comes from Merignac which lies approximately 1700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Bordeaux Elite FC, the club ES. Eysines does also originate from the area around Merignac.
