Umedalens IF

Umedalens IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Umedalens IF, 231 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Umedalens IF could be found in Group 4 together with Dallas Texans, Boo FF and Valspar FC. Umedalens IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against GIF Nike with 1-10. In the Final, Walddörfer SV 1 won over Lerums IS 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Umedalens comes from Umeå which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Umeå does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Gimonäs Umeå IF, Sandåkerns SK, Mariehem SK, Umeå Södra FF, IFK Umeå and Ersmarks IK).
