Södra United IF

Södra United IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Södra United IF, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Södra United IF could be found in Group 11 together with Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld, Skrea IF and Boo FF. Södra United IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Sollentuna FK 1 with 0-3. In the Final, ASD Femminile Inter Milano won over SK Haugar and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Södra United comes from Hemmingsmark which lies approximately 970 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hemmingsmark does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Piteå IF and Storfors AIK).
