IFK Knislinge

IFK Knislinge was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to IFK Knislinge, 74 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof IFK Knislinge could be found in Group 13 together with Torslanda IK, FC Djursholm and FH 1. IFK Knislinge continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Enebybergs IF with 1-2. In the Final, Swindon Town FITC won over Järvenpään Palloseura and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. IFK Knislinge comes from Broby which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Broby does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FC Hessleholm, Åhus IF, Kristianstad FC, Vittsjö GIK, Åhus Horna BK, IFK Hässleholm, Vinslövs IF, Nosaby IF, Sösdala IF and Kristianstad DFF).
