GIF Nike

GIF Nike was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to GIF Nike, 231 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof GIF Nike could be found in Group 1 together with IFK Österåker 1, Walddörfer SV 1 and ACBB Paris. GIF Nike continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SC Victoria 1 with 0-1. In the Final, Walddörfer SV 1 won over Lerums IS 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. GIF Nike comes from Lomma which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lomma does also provide 31 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Höllviken, Staffanstorps GIF, LB07, Hyllie IK, Furulunds IK, FC Staffanstorp, Lilla Torg FF, Lunds BK and Fortuna FF).
