In addition to Azzurri, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Azzurri could be found in Group 5 together with Lekstorps IF 2, Ligi Ndogo SC, Förslövs IF and Saltsjöbadens IF 1. Azzurri made it to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Pumas Oro, Monterrey with 2-3. Thereby Azzurri finished second in B12 Play off A during Gothia Cup 2016.
