Guernsey Schools

Guernsey Schools was the only club from Guernsey that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Guernsey Schools, 186 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Guernsey Schools could be found in Group 26 together with Project Playground FC, Hammarby IF FF and Utbynäs SK. Guernsey Schools continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hong Kong FC with 2-3. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Guernsey Schools comes from Guernsey which lies approximately 1300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
