IF Väster/Näsets SK

IF Väster/Näsets SK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to IF Väster/Näsets SK, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof IF Väster/Näsets SK could be found in Group 25 together with IK Viljan, Swindon Town FITC and Östansbo IS. IF Väster/Näsets SK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Tölö IF with 1-3. In the Final, ASD Femminile Inter Milano won over SK Haugar and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Väster/Näsets SK originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 77 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FT14, Lindome GIF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Hisingsbacka FC, Älvängens IK, Mossens BK, Dalen/KFF, Örgryte IS, Näsets SK and Åsa IF).
