Sundbybergs IK

Sundbybergs IK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Sundbybergs IK, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Sundbybergs IK could be found in Group 44 together with JDFS Alberts, FC Gessel-Leerssen and Gällivare SK. Sundbybergs IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 44. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Kungsbacka IF 1 with 2-4. In the Final, JSSL Arsenal Singapore won over Barkarö SK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Sundbybergs IK also participated in Boys 11 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/32 Final in B11 Play off B, but lost it against Kungsbacka IF 1 with 1-4. Sundbybergs comes from Sundbyberg which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sundbyberg does also provide 67 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: IFK Lidingö FK, Boo FF, Boo IS, Bollstanäs SK, Hammarby IF DFF, Saltsjö-Boo IF, Enskede IK, Årsta FF, Rönninge Salem Fotboll and IF Brommapojkarna).
