Växjö DFF

Växjö DFF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Växjö DFF, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Växjö DFF could be found in Group 18 together with Team Odense Q 1, Charlo, SoGK and Västerås BK30 2. Växjö DFF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Alviks IK with 1-2. In the Final, Santa Monica United won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Växjö DFF comes from Växjö which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Växjö does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Ingelstad IK, Sandsbro AIK, Växjö Norra IF, Växjö BK and Alvesta GIF).
