Sandsbro AIK

Sandsbro AIK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Sandsbro AIK, 231 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Sandsbro AIK could be found in Group 21 together with Senlis, U.S.M., Hönö IS and Enebybergs IF. Sandsbro AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Lerums IS 2 with 4-5. In the Final, Walddörfer SV 1 won over Lerums IS 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Sandsbro AIK comes from Växjö which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Växjö does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Ingelstad IK, Växjö DFF, Växjö Norra IF, Växjö BK and Alvesta GIF).
