Regional United FC was one of three clubs from Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Regional United FC, 224 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof Regional United FC could be found in Group 43 together with Hisingsbacka FC, Kornhult / Hishult FF, SC Borgfeld eV 1 and Örebro Syrianska IF. Regional United FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 43. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Oppsal IF with 0-4. In the Final, ASIOP Apacinti won over IF Elfsborg and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15.
