Sandåkerns SK

Sandåkerns SK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Sandåkerns SK, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Sandåkerns SK could be found in Group 17 together with ASD Femminile Inter Milano, Mölndal Fotboll and Västerås BK30 1. Sandåkerns SK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Växjö DFF with 0-4. In the Final, Santa Monica United won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Sandåkerns SK comes from Umeå which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Umeå does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Gimonäs Umeå IF, Mariehem SK, Umeå Södra FF, IFK Umeå, Ersmarks IK and Umedalens IF).
