IK Viljan

IK Viljan was one of 452 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IK Viljan, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof IK Viljan could be found in Group 1 together with IFK Göteborg, S. Lannzarote and Tokyo Verdy. IK Viljan continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against SV Blankenese with 2-3. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Dundalk Schoolboys League and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. IK Viljan also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2014. They reached the 1/64 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against Accademia Gaggiano with 0-2. Viljan comes from Strängnäs which lies approximately 350 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Strängnäs does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2015 (Among others: Triangelns IK, Håbo FF, Stallarholmens SK, Skiljebo SK, Malmköping IF, Fanna BK, Irsta IF, Enköpings SK, Eskilstuna Södra FF and Eskilstuna City FK).
