The Rainbow team

The Rainbow team was one of four clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2015. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to The Rainbow team, 214 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof The Rainbow team could be found in Group 35 together with Stenungsunds IF, Oxie SK 1 and Målilla GoIF. The Rainbow team continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against BK Flagg with 0-3. In the Final, Dallas Texans won over Angered FC and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. The Rainbow team comes from Cape Town which lies approximately 10000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than The Rainbow team, the club Project Playground FC does also originate from the area around Cape Town.
