FC Viikingit

FC Viikingit was one of 14 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to FC Viikingit, 190 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof FC Viikingit could be found in Group 46 together with Kungsbacka IF, Weston Super Mare AFC and SK Sprint-Jeløy. FC Viikingit continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 46. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Guildford Saints with 0-6. In the Final, Onsala BK won over HK 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. FC Viikingit comes from Helsingfors which lies approximately 760 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Helsingfors does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (HJK Helsinki, PK-35, VJS and Pajamäen PV).
