Friends soccer academy

Friends soccer academy was one of three clubs from Uganda that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Friends soccer academy, 115 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Friends soccer academy could be found in Group 5 together with IFK Östersund, Elverum Fotball and CONDINESE CALCIO SS. Friends soccer academy continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against SK Vard Haugesund with 0-2. In the Final, BK Häcken won over Lärje Angered IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Friends soccer academy comes from Lugazi which lies approximately 6600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
