Umeå IK

Umeå IK was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Umeå IK, 93 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Umeå IK could be found in Group 18 together with IK Zenith, SC Borgfeld eV and Håbo FF Svart. Umeå IK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against HJK Helsinki with 0-1. In the Final, AIK FF won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Umeå comes from Umeå which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Umeå does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: Sävar IK, Täfteå IK, Umedalens IF, Mariehem SK, IFK Umeå, Umeå Södra FF, Sandåkerns SK, Gimonäs Umeå IF, Umeå IK FF and Tegs SK).
