Örby IS

Örby IS was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Örby IS, 93 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Örby IS could be found in Group 10 together with Hittarps IK 1, Sunnersta AIF and IL Jotun. Örby IS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Gimonäs Umeå IF 1 with 0-2. In the Final, Järla IF won over Scandia United SA and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Örby IS comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 61 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: Enskede IK, IFK Lidingö, IFK Lidingö FK, Bollstanäs SK, IF Brommapojkarna, Boo FF, Stuvsta IF, BP Hässelängen, Ekerö IK and Vasalunds IF).
