FC Hamlets

FC Hamlets was one of 33 clubs from England that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to FC Hamlets, 190 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof FC Hamlets could be found in Group 44 together with Runar, IL, Åsarp/Trädet FK and Frederiksværk BK. FC Hamlets continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 44. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Värmbols FC with 0-3. In the Final, Onsala BK won over HK 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. FC Hamlets comes from London which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around London does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Walton Casuals Juniors FC, Barnes Eagles, Berkshire College of Agriculture, Harrow School, Heath & Regents Park FC and Kinetic Academy).
