VJS

VJS was one of 14 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 11. In addition to VJS, 120 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 11. They were divided into 30 different groups, whereof VJS could be found in Group 11 together with IF BP All Star 2, Utpal Shanghvi School 2 and GAIS. VJS continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Assyriska BK with 2-4. In the Final, Assyriska BK won over IF Brommapojkarna 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 11. VJS comes from Vantaa which lies approximately 790 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vantaa does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Tikkurilan Palloseura, HJK Helsinki, PK-35, Special Olympics Finland, Jokelan Kisa, Pajamäen PV, Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa and FC Viikingit).
